Overview
Operating since 1990, Robson Helimagic helps visitors experience the Rockies in a completely unique way – by helicopter. Nestled in the Rocky Mountain Trench, their home in Valemount, British Columbia, lies at the meeting of three mountain ranges: the Monashees, the Cariboos, and the Rockies; only 70 miles from Jasper, Alberta.
Robson’s goal is to offer unique mountain experiences that will develop an appreciation of the beauty, fragility, and size of earth’s natural world. Whether guests see it, hike, it, or ski it, they will go home changed by their heli experience – Robson calls it Heli Heaven.
Year round, they fly guests over some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the world – glaciers, waterfalls, peaks and mountain lakes. Using small four and six-passenger helicopters, the views are great from every seat.
As summer arrives and the snow leaves the alpine, Robson flies to meadows above the tree line to walk with guides – the only other visitors seen are marmots, picas, and alpine birds.
Snow begins to fall as early as September and by January Robson is in full swing to heliski. Their goal is to offer a first-rate heliski experience without breaking the bank.
Only two groups ski each day with no more than eight guests per group, allowing Robson to get to know their guests as individuals. Their operation is relaxed – a no-pressure environment to experience the powder of the Rockies. No crowds, no waiting … just the sheer enjoyment of light Rockies powder. Only five minutes from the helipad is the hotel where guests relax and regenerate after skiing. Maybe a dip in the pool or the hot tub before dinner? Chef Rudi Thoni of the Cariboo Grill is famous for such specialties as Caribou Stew.
Robson Helimagic looks forward to introducing Heli Heaven to you.
